ARRIVAL

Our park sessions begin at the scheduled time, so we recommend arriving a few minutes early to get settled and ready for the session. Coaches will start setting up 15 minutes before the session, and you’re welcome to use that time to warm up with your child before the official warm-ups begin.

ATTENDANCE

For programs held at schools, your child must be a student at that specific school to participate.

CANCELLATIONS

While we play in most weather conditions, sessions may be canceled in the event of severe weather or other unforeseen circumstances. If a session is canceled, we will notify you at least one hour before the start time through email, text, and updates on our Facebook page. Make-up sessions will be scheduled as needed, especially for school programs, based on availability.

EQUIPMENT

No special equipment is required for participation - cleats and shin guards are not needed. We do ask that your child wears comfortable, closed-toed shoes, preferably sneakers, as Crocs, sandals, and boots are not suitable. Additionally, no jewelry is allowed for safety reasons, and Soccer Shots cannot be held responsible for any jewelry that is lost or broken.

INVOLVEMENT

For Minis sessions at park locations, one parent is required to be on Soccer Island with their child. Other siblings and family members are welcome to watch and cheer from the sidelines, which helps maintain focus and ensures that all children have plenty of space to play.

SEATING

We recommend bringing a folding chair or blanket if you prefer not to sit or stand on the grass during sessions. Please be aware that some locations may not have restrooms available, so we encourage you to plan accordingly.

SUPPORT

Tough days are a natural part of childhood, and it’s completely normal for your child to have an off day here and there. On Soccer Island, we celebrate every effort and focus on creating a positive and supportive environment where every child can learn and grow at their own pace.

WATER

It’s important for children to stay hydrated during their sessions, so we encourage you to bring or send a water bottle with your child. Coaches will include water breaks as needed to keep everyone energized, especially during hot summer months.

WEATHER

We play in the rain, so parents should dress appropriately for the conditions, keeping in mind that you won’t be moving as much as the kids. Rain boots are welcome on Soccer Island, and children often enjoy splashing in puddles and mud. A positive attitude toward rainy weather can encourage your child to embrace the experience and have fun!

DEVELOPMENT-PROMOTING ACTIVITIES

Each session is thoughtfully crafted to promote growth in all early childhood domains. Our activities are designed to enhance physical skills, encourage cognitive development, and provide opportunities for emotional and social growth.

THEMED LEARNING

We infuse each session with a captivating theme of the day that runs through all activities, making the learning experience engaging and memorable for our participants.

CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT

Character words are at the heart of our curriculum. Coaches and participants explore these words together, defining them succinctly and applying them throughout the session. Three simple rules reinforce these character words, helping children understand and embody valuable life lessons.

SESSION OBJECTIVES

Each day, we set clear objectives that describe the desired outcomes of the class. These objectives guide our activities and provide a clear focus for our young learners.

DIFFERENTIATION

We understand that every child is unique, which is why we offer ideas for differentiation for each skill or game. This ensures that each child can progress at their own pace and level, whether individually or in groups.

PLAY AND CREATIVITY

We value the importance of play and creativity in early childhood development. Our sessions provide ample opportunities for children to express themselves, explore their creativity, and enjoy the freedom of play.

SOCCER SKILL DEVELOPMENT

While our primary goal is to have fun, we also emphasize the development of soccer skills. Through engaging activities, children naturally build their soccer skills in a positive and enjoyable environment.

WEEKLY UPDATES

To keep you in the loop, we provide a weekly email update highlighting everything your child is learning during their session that week. It's our way of sharing the joy of their soccer and character development journey with you.

At Soccer Shots, we understand that sometimes, unforeseen circumstances can lead to missed classes. To ensure that all our participants have the opportunity to make up missed classes, we have implemented the following make-up class policy:

MAKE-UP CLASS GUARNTEE

We are committed to providing our families with a valuable soccer experience. Therefore, we promise to offer up to 2 make-up sessions for any cancelled classes, regardless of the location.

PUBLIC PROGRAMS MAKE-UP CLASSES

For our public programs, make-up classes are typically scheduled within the two weeks following the last session day of the season. This ensures that all participants have the chance to catch up on missed classes.

SCHOOL LOCATIONS MAKE-UP SESSIONS

Make-up classes for school and childcare center locations are typically scheduled based on the center's calendar and availability. We work closely with school administration to align these sessions in a way that best accommodates the children and families. Decisions to delay or reschedule classes are at the discretion of the school or center administration.

To ensure flexibility, our schedule allows for one make-up week at the end of indoor seasons and two make-up weeks for outdoor locations, ensuring every effort is made to complete the planned curriculum.

PERSONAL REASONS EXCLUSION

It's important to note that make-ups, refunds, or credits are not available for missed classes due to personal reasons such as vacations, illness, or other personal commitments. Our policy is designed to accommodate cancellations that are beyond individual control.

We believe that this policy ensures fairness and flexibility for our participants while allowing us to maintain the quality and consistency of our programs. REFUND POLICY

Refunds will not be issued for failure to attend a scheduled class. Full refunds, minus a $10 fee, will be granted if a written withdrawal request is received two weeks prior to the start of any season. In the event Soccer Shots finds it necessary to remove a child from a class, a refund will be issued after deduction for classes already attended.

No refunds will be issued after Week 3 of the season. Refunds requested prior to Week 3 of the season will be given for the remaining sessions only. No refunds will be issued for failure to attend a makeup class. All refund requests must be made in writing and emailed to a Soccer Shots representative, subject to a $10 refund fee.

Soccer Shots assumes no liability in the event of season cancellation, rescheduling, or postponement due to a fortuitous event, unforeseen occurrences, or any other event that renders season performance impracticable, illegal, or impossible. Efforts will be made to offer substitution events in such cases.

Soccer Shots aims to deliver a beloved growth experience for every child and a remarkable experience for every family. If you and your child are not positively impacted by your Soccer Shots experience, we will offer a refund or credit for any future season.

COUPONS

Coupon codes cannot be applied to previous purchases or after a purchase has been completed. However, under specific circumstances, a credit may be issued to the account for the coupon.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Registration and participation authorize us to take photos and share them on our social media pages. While we understand your desire to see pictures of your child at their sessions, we prioritize the safety of our children and request our coaches refrain from using their cell phones during sessions. Therefore, we may not always send you pictures unless a supervisor is available to do so.

CANCELLATIONS

At Soccer Shots, we prioritize clear communication and flexibility to ensure a positive experience for all families. Cancellations and rescheduled sessions will be promptly communicated to the email address and/or phone number provided during registration.

Please note that a minimum of 5 registrants is required before the first week of class for the session to proceed as scheduled. In cases of inclement weather, we will utilize indoor space whenever possible; if indoor facilities are unavailable, we will reschedule sessions or add extra time to other sessions to accommodate missed classes. During the Winter season, if your school or center closes due to weather-related issues on a Soccer Shots day, we will collaborate with your school or center to arrange makeup sessions or add extra time to make up for missed classes. Makeup classes may be scheduled for a different day or time than the regular class schedule.

Soccer Shots reserves the right to cancel any program due to insufficient enrollment; in such cases, a full refund will be issued for remaining classes.

TRANSFER POLICY:

Transfers can be accommodated within the same season, provided there is room in the desired session and it is deemed a good fit for the child by our coaches. Please email centralkentucky@soccershots.com for all transfer requests.

We understand that you may have questions about receiving a Soccer Shots jersey for your child, and we want to provide clarity on our jersey distribution process:

ANNUAL JERSEY DISTRIBUTION

Youth jerseys are distributed once per calendar year to our participants. These jerseys are sent to you at the same time you pay your enrollment fee, regardless of the number of seasons you sign your child up for within that year.

ENROLLMENT FEE PAYMENT

If you have not been prompted to pay your enrollment fee for a particular season, it means that you will not be receiving a jersey for that season. Please ensure that your enrollment fee is paid to be eligible for the jersey distribution.

NEED A NEW JERSEY?

If your child requires a new jersey for any reason, you can explore our merchandise store at store.soccershots.com to purchase one. Our store offers a variety of Soccer Shots merchandise, including jerseys, to help you gear up for an exciting soccer season.

We utilize an outside platform for jersey distribution. All jerseys are delivered via the company to your home address. Please keep in mind that they are athletic-cut jerseys and tend to run small. Your jersey will ship within 2 business days from checkout, and upon shipping you will receive tracking information via email. You can expect to receive your child’s jersey in the mail within 7-10 business days of enrollment. Please understand that if you sign up within two weeks of the season start date, your child is not guaranteed to receive their jersey before the first session. Should you need to exchange sizes contact them by email at shipping@soccershots.com. You must provide your name, your child's name, your shipping address, the size you received, and the size you are requesting in the email. Please note, jerseys must be in new condition with the tag still attached to be accepted as a return. Returns are accepted up to 15 days after the jersey is mailed out and exchanges are accepted up to 30 days after the jersey is mailed out.
